BSPP (G) parallel thread hose tails machined to order in 316 and 304 stainless steel and galvanised carbon steel, DN15 to DN300. ISO 9001 CNC production, OEM and private label supported, shipping to Australia and New Zealand with full export documentation.
Australia and New Zealand run on BSP. Most catalogue stock sold out of North America is NPT. The two look similar enough to cross-thread, and that mistake is expensive once an assembly is already crimped. Here is the difference, plainly.
| Standard | Designation | Form thread angle | Taper | Where it seals | Common in |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BSPP | G — ISO 228 | Whitworth, 55° | Parallel | On the face — bonded seal, O-ring or washer | Australia, NZ, UK, South Africa, most of Asia |
| BSPT | R — ISO 7-1 | Whitworth, 55° | Tapered 1:16 | On the thread flanks — needs sealant or PTFE tape | Australia, NZ, UK, water and air lines |
| NPT | ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 | Sellers, 60° | Tapered 1:16 | On the thread flanks — needs sealant or PTFE tape | United States, Canada |
The 1/2" and 3/4" trap. At 1/2" and 3/4", BSP and NPT happen to share the same 14 threads per inch. A BSP hose tail will start to turn into an NPT port and feel like it is going in correctly. It is not — the 55° and 60° flanks never mate, so the joint will weep under pressure and both threads end up damaged. At 1" the pitches diverge (NPT 11.5 TPI, BSP 11 TPI) and the mismatch is obvious. Always confirm the standard on the drawing before you order.
What Sunze supplies: BSPP (G) parallel thread is our standard on hose tails for the Australian and New Zealand market. BSPT (R) and NPT are cut to order — if your assembly needs NPT, see our King Nipple / KC nipple range.
Combination hose tails with a serrated shank and male BSP SCH120 thread, for use with a hose clamp, band or crimp ferrule. Machined from bar and seamless tube on our own CNC lines, DN15 to DN300.

All dimensions in millimetres. Threads cut to BSP SCH120; NPT available on the same part numbers. MOQ from 100 pieces, samples in 7 days. Custom shank lengths, serration profiles and non-standard dimensions welcome — send a drawing or a sample. Made in Taiwan, exported worldwide.
A grooved crimp-style hose tail machined from seamless steel tube, zinc plated or SS304. The external groove keys into the slots of an F60 slotted ferrule, giving a positive mechanical lock that a plain crimp cannot — the usual specification for large-bore suction and delivery assemblies on mine sites and bulk transfer. Male BSP thread, DN40 to DN150.
| Nominal Bore DN | Size inch | BSP Part No. FDK5NxxxB |
|---|---|---|
| DN40 | 1-1/2" | FDK5N015B |
| DN50 | 2" | FDK5N020B |
| DN80 | 3" | FDK5N030B |
| DN100 | 4" | FDK5N040B |
| DN150 | 6" | FDK5N060B |
DN125 (5") is currently produced in NPT only. Matching F50, F60 and F70 crimp ferrules are manufactured in-house — see the full ferrule range and part-number tables. Send us your hose outside diameter and we will match the ferrule to the tail.
The right grade depends far more on the environment around the fitting than on the fluid inside it. Coastal air, wash-down chemicals and mine-site brine are what actually kill hose tails.
Adds roughly 2–3% molybdenum over 304, which is what buys the resistance to chloride pitting. Specify it anywhere salt is in the picture — coastal plants, jetties, aquaculture, marine, mine-site brine and most chemical transfer duties.
Our standard stainless grade and the right answer for most jobs: general industrial, food and beverage, potable and irrigation water, and clean-in-place lines. Strong corrosion resistance inland, but it will pit in a salt-laden atmosphere.
The cost-effective choice where corrosion load is low and price matters: compressed air, general water transfer, dry bulk, agricultural and irrigation lines. Highest mechanical strength of the three, and the shortest lead time on large volumes.
Material certificates (EN 10204 3.1) are supplied on request with every stainless order. Other grades — duplex, brass, special alloys — are available for OEM programmes.
Hose tails we supply into the Australian and New Zealand market typically end up in these duties.
Large-bore suction and delivery assemblies, dewatering lines, slurry transfer. Grooved FDK5N tails with F60 slotted ferrules where the assembly has to survive being dragged.
Pump-to-hose connections, travelling irrigators, spray units and liquid fertiliser transfer. Galvanised carbon steel in DN25 to DN100 covers most of it.
Portable pump sets, flood and construction dewatering, water cartage. BSPP tails paired with camlock couplings and hose clamps.
Delivery and suction hose ends for tanker and depot use, where the fitting has to be dimensionally repeatable batch after batch.
Wharf, vessel and sea-pen service where 316 stainless is the only sensible specification. Chloride exposure is constant, not occasional.
Wash-down duty and product transfer lines in 304 or 316 stainless, with smooth serrations and clean machining for hygienic assemblies.

BSPP (G, to ISO 228) is a parallel thread. It does not seal on the thread itself, so it needs a bonded seal, O-ring or sealing washer against a machined face. BSPT (R, to ISO 7-1) is a taper thread that seals on the thread flanks and normally needs sealant or PTFE tape. Both use the 55° Whitworth form. Sunze supplies BSPP (G) as standard on hose tails.
No. BSP uses a 55° Whitworth thread form, NPT uses 60°, so the flanks never mate. At 1/2" and 3/4" the two standards share 14 threads per inch, which means a BSP tail will start to turn into an NPT port and feel correct — it will not seal, and it damages both threads. Confirm the standard on the drawing before ordering.
304 is the standard grade and suits most general industrial, agricultural and water-transfer duties. 316 adds molybdenum for markedly better chloride pitting resistance, which makes it the usual choice for coastal and marine installations, aquaculture, mine-site brine and many chemical transfer duties. We machine 304 as standard and 316 to order.
DN15 to DN300 (1/2" to 12" nominal bore). Non-standard shank lengths, serration profiles and thread sizes are available for OEM orders — send a drawing or a sample and we will quote against it.
Standard MOQ is 100 pieces per specification, with lower quantities available for sample qualification orders. Samples: 7 days. Production: 25–35 days ex works, plus roughly 14–28 days sea freight from Taiwan to Australian east and west coast ports.
Yes — F50 ferrule sleeves, F60 slotted ferrules and F70 external swage ferrules with collar, in carbon steel and stainless. Ferrule internal diameter, length and wall thickness can be matched to your hose outside diameter. See the full ferrule part-number tables.
Yes. We support custom specifications, laser or stamped branding, custom packaging and labelling for distributors, hose assembly houses and brand owners. All parts are machined at our ISO 9001 certified CNC facility in Taiwan and shipped with full export documentation including certificate of origin, packing list and material certificates.
Our Taiwan facility runs a full line of CNC lathes, producing consistent, high-tolerance fittings at volume. Every piece is machined in-house, which gives us direct control over quality and lead time rather than depending on a trading chain.
Tell us the size, thread standard, material and quantity — we will come back with pricing and lead time within one business day. Or skip the form and message us directly on WhatsApp.
